 MUSICAL THEATRE

CLASSES

At Amoré, we offer four Musical Theatre Classes a week, to cater for a variety of ages and abilities. As a whole, our Musical Theatre classes place a focus on Singing, Drama, Movement and creativity - every class works to produce their own mini musical to perform at our annual concerts

MINI
MUSICAL

THEATRE

PP-Year 2

Our youngest performers explore the magic of musical theatre through imaginative storytelling, expressive movement, and joyful singing. Classes are filled with games and drama-based activities that build confidence, creativity, and group connection.

We focus on:

  • 🎤 Speaking and singing with expression and clarity

  • 🎵 Learning simple rhythms, melodies, and musical storytelling

  • 🧠 Creating characters and scenes through play

  • ✏️ Beginning to script-write and contribute to group-devised mini musicals

This class nurtures big ideas in small people — giving them the tools to start creating and performing in a playful, supportive space.

INTERMEDIATE
MUSICAL

THEATRE

Year 3-4

Students in this group are ready to take on more responsibility in the creative process. They explore how music, story, and character work together on stage — all while still learning through fun games and engaging activities that encourage collaboration and confidence.

They will:

  • 📝 Write and perform original short scripts and lyrics

  • 🎶 Sing with expression and learn to use their voice musically

  • 🎭 Build characters and scenes through improvisation and acting games

  • 🎬 Begin directing, staging, and giving input into creative choices

This is a group that thrives on imagination and teamwork — creating performances that are proudly their own.

JUNIOR
MUSICAL

THEATRE

Year 5-7

This group takes all the foundational skills and pushes them further. Students create, rehearse, and perform original musical theatre pieces, combining script writing, singing, acting, and directing. While the work is more in-depth, classes are still taught through fun games and creative challenges that keep students engaged and energised.

They develop:

  • 🧠 Devising and writing scenes, songs, and scripts from scratch

  • 🎶 Singing with control, harmony, and storytelling through music

  • 🎭 Complex character work and acting technique

  • 🎬 Directing peers, making creative decisions, and refining ideas

With a strong focus on ensemble work and creative ownership, students build confidence as all-round performers — all while having fun, working as a team, and letting their ideas lead the way.
