Hello!

My name is Paris, and I am the founder and director of Amoré.

I am WAAPA trained, having completed a Bachelor's Degree in Voice and specialise in teaching contemporary (pop), music theatre and classical singing. I have previously taught in multiple music schools, including a long-term employment with a national performing arts company, where I taught for seven years. I have also previously written, directed and music directed three original musicals, one of which won Best Children's Show at 2019 Perth Fringe World.

I believe that music is about enjoyment, confidence and having fun. I honestly do think that anyone can learn how to sing, given the correct training and drive to do so. The most important thing to me as a teacher is that my students enjoy their lessons and are excited to learn new technique and repertoire in order to improve their own confidence.

I cater lessons to each individual student and hence, may be focussing on a variety of different things in each lesson. Generally, I place a focus on:

  • Musicality - including reading music and how to improve pitch and rhythm

  • Vocal Technique - including breathing, posture, vocal production and projection

  • Song Lyrics - How to interpret the lyrics and appropriately emote them to create a more genuine performance

  • Nerves/Performance anxiety and confidence

  • Amongst many other aspects of performance

I have my Police Clearance, WWCC and am fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

I look forward to meeting you soon!

Note: Paris currently teaches Monday - Friday at Amoré
